If you are a breakfast lover, then you likely struggle with having a great breakfast, specially on those really busy mornings. Also, if you've got a family, you may feel that you could do more to create healthy breakfasts, but struggle with the time you have to do so. Great Harvest would like to take the time to talk about a new sensation, in the form of overnight oats, that can help you provide your loved ones with a healthy, balanced breakfast, that you can make up to a few days before. To start, let us share a great recipe for what could either be breakfast or even an afternoon snack, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Overnight Oats!

You'll need:

1 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of low fat, soy, or almond milk
½ of a very ripe banana
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon butter extractpinch of sea salthoney or stevia if extra sweetener if needed
2 tbsp mini chocolate chips

Now for the instructions:

Microwave banana half for 30 seconds
Add all ingredients except for the chocolate, to a glass jar and shake
Place in the refrigerator, leave for at least 4 hours, but ideally overnight
Remove from the refrigerator when it's time to eat. Don't forget to add the chocolate chips
*If you don't think there is enough milk, you can always add a bit more when stirring in the chocolate chips

Next, how about something a bit more fruity? Something like this delicious Raspberry and Almond recipe.

Ingredients:

Start with a ½ cup of rolled oats
½ cup of milk, coconut, almond, or low fat
½ cup of raspberries-you can use frozen or fresh
1 teaspoon of chia seeds
3 teaspoons of maple syrup or honey
1 tablespoon of sliced almonds

Instructions:

Combine rolled oats, milk, raspberries, chia seeds, and 2 teaspoons of syrup into small mason jar and stir
Cover the jar with its lid and leave in the refrigerator from approximately 4 hours to overnight
Just before serving, add more milk as needed
Add the almonds and enjoy
