How to Prepare Scrumptious Tomato Soup

The Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of cream
    • 1 tbsp oregano
    • 1 tbsp basil
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups of vegetable broth
    • 2 cans of tomato (diced)
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 onions (chopped)
    • 6 garlic cloves (diced)
    • Salt and pepper (as preferred)
    • Parmesan cheese (as preferred)
    • Healthy croutons (as preferred)

    The Instructions

    1. Heat up olive oil on a cooking pot at a medium flame. Once hot, add the onions and cook them until they're transparent.
    2. Lower the flame, and add the garlic, oregano, and basil in with the onions. Let these ingredients sit there for about 2 minutes.
    3. Open the tomato cans and pour them in the pot. Also, season the different flavors with sugar, salt, and pepper (to your linking).
    4. Now the flavors are coming together, so turn up the heat, add in the broth, and bring it to a boil.
    5. After it does, lower the intensity again, close the pot, and allow the ingredients to cook for 10 minutes.
    6. Once the 10 minutes are up, take the pot off the stove and let it cool down. While you're at it, use a fork to pick up any leaves or branches from the basil/oregano.
    7. You should also use a blender to get a homogeneous texture and to mix all of the ingredients together well.
    8. After you've mixed everything, take the pot back to the stove, and  while it's heating up, pour the milk and cream in. Mix it all again.
    9. Last but not least, take the soup off the stove, serve it in plates, and put Parmesan cheese and croutons on top to give it extra flavor.
