Real Food. Real People.

If you've never experienced this Mexican delicacy, you're in for a treat. Follow Great Harvest in Austin's recipe for fantastic churros with chocolate sauce for the crispiest, most mouthwatering dessert known to man. This recipe makes ten, and they're perfect for sharing.

; cup plus
1 ; tablespoons sugar
1 ; teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup water
; teaspoon saltVegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour

3 ; oz. dark chocolate
; cup heavy cream

You'll need a pastry bag with a star tip to make the churros, too; these are inexpensive and can easily be found at your local supermarket or specialist cookery store.

Make the churros:

Combine a half cup of sugar with the cinnamon in a bowl and set to one side. Prepare a plate by lining it with paper towels. In a small pan, mix the water, 1 ; tablespoons sugar, the salt, and 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil. Bring to a boil, then remove from the heat. Mix in the flour and stir it until the dough naturally forms a ball. Heat 4 inches of oil in a large pan over a medium/high heat.

Fill your pastry bag with the dough, then pipe the dough over the pot until it's around 4 inches long. Trim with scissors so it drops into the oil (be very careful not to burn yourself!). Pipe in three at a time, then fry them until they're a delightful golden brown. Transfer to your prepared plate to drain off some of the excess oil (leave them for around 2 minutes each) then roll them in your cinnamon sugar and place on another plate. Repeat until your dough's gone, then serve them warm with delicious chocolate dipping sauce.

Make the sauce:

Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Heat the cream over a medium flame, being careful not to boil it. Put the chocolate in a bowl, pour over the hot cream, let it stand for a minute or two, and then stir it until they combine. Simple and delicious!
